Luella (Sell) Buckingham, 95, of North Manchester, Indiana, died at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 13, 2010 at Peabody Healthcare Center in North Manchester. She was born August 13, 1914 in Wabash County, Indiana to George and Bertha (Young) Sell.

Mrs. Buckingham was a 1932 graduate of Chester Township High School. She married Ralph Buckingham on July 29, 1937 in Huntington County; he died December 22, 1955. Following her husband's death, she moved to North Manchester. She was employed by the Heckman Bindery in North Manchester, retiring after 30 years of service. Mrs. Buckingham was a member of the Congregational Christian Church in North Manchester. She enjoyed her flower gardens and spending time and visiting with her family and friends.

She is survived by her three children, Beverly (Leo) Frieden of North Manchester, Janet M. Buckingham of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Richard (Cheryl) Buckingham of Stratham, New Hampshire; four grandchildren, Blake (Amy) Buckingham of Brookeville, Maryland, Amber Buckingham of Stratham, New Hampshire, Kris Frieden of North Manchester, and Kelly (Dan) Church of White House, Tennessee; and ten great grandchildren.

She was the last member living from her family, being preceded in death by her parents, husband, and seven siblings.

Funeral services will be held at Grandstaff-Hentgen Bender Chapel, 207 W. Main Street, North Manchester on Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor J.P. Freeman officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Servia. Friends may call 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Preferred memorial is Congregational Christian Church of North Manchester or the Caring Circle at Peabody Retirement Community.
