Mary Louise Haupert, 81, of Roann, Indiana, died at 11:10 p.m., Friday, March 5, 2010 at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She was born December 21, 1928 in Miami County, Indiana, to Fred G. and Blanche Mae (Bodkin) Harmon.

Mary was a 1946 graduate of Roann High School. She married Lorin F. Haupert on July 12, 1947 in Roann. She was a member of the Roann Niconza Christian Fellowship Church, and loved watching basketball.

She is survived by her husband, Lorin F. Haupert of Roann; five children, Roger (Mary) Haupert of Fort Wayne, Roberta Haupert of Mount Dora, Florida, Timothy Haupert of Roann, Larrry Haupert of Ft Wayne, and Mary Lou (Kevin) Musselman of Macy, Indiana; seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; and one sister, Joann Carrothers of Wabash. She was preceded in death by three children, Marlene Haupert, Doug Haupert, and Peggy Harrell, two sisters, and one brother.

Funeral services will be held at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 335 S. Chippewa St., Roann, on Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Phil Medsger officiating. Burial will be in Roann Community Cemetery, Roann. Friends may call 4 - 8 p.m., Tuesday and 9 - 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Preferred memorial is Niconza Christian Fellowship Church, Roann.
