James A. Fedewa
  
James A. Fedewa, 87, of North Manchester, Indiana, died Friday, March 5, 2010 at 10:28 a.m. at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. He was born May 22, 1922 in Fort Wayne to Arthur and Marie (Brink) Fedewa.

James married Anita Jane Feldhaus in Rensselaer, Indiana in 1948. She died in 1984. He then married Carolyn (Kauffman) Aaron in November of 1987 at St. Robert's Catholic Church, North Manchester. He was a member of St. Robert's Catholic Church, and was instrumental in the construction of the church. He was a Staff Sergeant in the Army Air Corps during WWII, a 23 year member of the North Manchester Kiwanis Club, and a member of the North Manchester American Legion. He enjoyed playing golf, and was a long time member of Sycamore Golf Club. He was a huge Notre Dame football fan, and had a great sense of humor.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Fedewa of North Manchester; 4 children, Beverly Ann (Steve) Macke of Beverly Hills, Michigan, Frederick A. Fedewa, of Wheaton, Illinois, David Joseph (Lucinda) Fedewa of Milton, Massachusetts, and Mary Elizabeth Young of Carmel, Indiana; step-son, Mark William Aaron of Frisco, Texas; 6 grandchildren, Michael (Maritsa)Flaherty of Columbus, Ohio, Ryan Macke of Chicago, IL, Lauren Macke of Grand Rapids, MI, Rebekah Fedewa of Milton, Anita "Ani" Young and Leah Marie Young, both of Carmel; 2 step-grandchildren, Valerie Beth Aaron and Emily Rose Aaron, both of Frisco; Great-Grandchild, Cale Michael Flaherty of Columbus, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his step-daughter, Sarah Beth Aaron, one brother, and two sisters.

A memorial mass will be held Friday, March 12, at 10:00 a.m., at St. Robert's Catholic Church, 1203 St. Rd. 1114 E., North Manchester, with Father Thomas Kodakassery officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, North Manchester. Family will receive friends Thursday, March 11, from 5-7:30 p.m. at the Grandstaff-Hentgen Bender Chapel, 207 W. Main St., North Manchester. A rosary service will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.

Preferred memorial is St. Robert's Catholic Church.
